Water damage iPhone 6

Hi, I dropped my phone in water and now it doesn’t work! I put it in rice to dry it out and after 24hrs plugged it in. I got a red battery icon and so I left it on charge. 12?hours later still not working! Is there any hope? Can it be fixed?
