Face recognition doesn’t work in poor light

How do I get face recognition to work in the dark or poor light ?

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 13

You may want to get Apple to check your hardware. My iPhone XS faceID works fine in pitch dark. The FaceID camera uses infrared to illuminate your face so should be utterly independent of the ambient lighting.

You probably can't.

You need to illuminate your face. Turn on a light.

Thanks ... I assumed there was some sort of sensor or enough light from the phone itself otherwise it’s back to a phone with finger print recognition 😄
