There was a driver for my Canon Pixma MG 7520. I downloaded it but my Apple MacAir still didn't recognize the printer. I powered off my wireless router and powered off the printer. After powering on. I reestablished a Wireless connection between the two. Apple preferences - printers now "saw" the Canon when I clicked on "add printer". Both my Canon 7520's print as they should. Thanks again for help. Bob

You may have to see if there's newer drivers for Canon; depending on the macOS
if you've upgraded to Catalina : any older 32-bit drivers will not be supported now.
Good luck & happy trails!🌻🍀
Thanks for your reply. I will check with Canon.
Glad to hear your device(s) + wi-fi refresh allowed drivers update to function.
A restart of most items involved generally help to enable those changes.
