Installing Boot Camp and Windows on the 2nd Internal Drive?

Without disconnecting any drives physically, run BC Assistant and check available options. You should back up your data, before you make any attempts.

Replacing the OEM drives is not a factor. You can partition Drive 2 for Windows or fully dedicate it to Windows. Since you would have the luxury of an extra set of drives, you can test. I highly recommend backing up the original disks, for safety.

Only if the drive has not been partitioned from it's default layout. This is the current layout on the 2010 server.

Yes, the steps should work. IN step 7, you will need to choose whether you want to format the entire second drive for Windows, or just partition it. If you see any errors, please capture and post them.

Installing Windows in Parallels does not require Boot Camp drivers nor does it involve partitioning the drive. Parallels is like any other app and can be installed on secondary or external drives.

On a 2010 Mini Server running Mavericks (10.9.5), I see the following, for the second disk. The boot disk has two macOS versions (SL 10.6.8 and 10.9.5), which cannot be used for Windows.

I assume the highlighted word is primary, not secondary. The configuration you want to achieve is

Drive 1 - macOS + Windows

Drive 2 - Windows.

• Disconnect Drive 2 SATA cable from the disk end. Partition and install Windows on Drive 1 via BC Assistant.
• Disconnect Drive 1 SATA cable from the disk end. Dedicate Drive 2 disk to Windows.

Is there a need for two installations of the same version of Windows on the 2011 Mac? If you want to install different versions of Windows, then it makes more sense. W10 is not natively supported on a 2011 Mac via Bootcamp.

You should test and validate your chosen configuration and be prepared to wipe both drives, if necessary.

Be aware that any configuration you choose, requires appropriate backups. Windows repair can be problematic, given your 2-disk configuration. On a MacPro (except the Cylinder), this is a standard supported model.
