Safari 13.0.5 won't let me change choice of search engines

I'm stuck in Bing ... Safari will not allow me to change search engines, and worse, Bing thinks I'm in the Netherlands when in truth I'm in Arizona. Although I do use a VPN which currently routes me through Seattle. But when I change that I still have the problem. A. I don't like bing very much and B. I don't speak Dutch LOL

Every time I browse something it would take me to Yahoo Mexico Every time I browse something, anything, instead of taking me to Google it would take me to Yahoo Mexico, and I'm not even Mexican or at Mexico. It's supposed to take me to https://www.google.com.ar/?client=safari. I think I have dowloaded a small malware or something, and I have read some things about checking my extensions but the thing is, I've got none. Different Search engine Hello, I would like to kindly ask how to set up different search engine than Google (and 3 others - Yahoo, Bing, Duck) in Safari Browser. In Russian region I can choose Yandex, in China Baidu and Sogou. I wanted to choose Seznam at Czech republic - has more than 13 % market share at searching (more than Yahoo, Bing and Duck together and for ex. Safari Search Engines I would like to switch my search engine from Google. My choice’s listed are: Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo and something called Ecosia. Which is the better choice?

1. Remove Adware.

Run the latest release of Malwarebytes for Mac to remove malware/adware, if installed on your Mac.

For instructions: Install Malwarebytes for Mac v4 Uninstall Malwarebytes for Mac

Click the “Scan Now” button. Once done, quit Malwarebytes for Mac.

Restart the computer and relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

Repeat the scan couple of times.

2. Additional steps to take if necessary.

1. Remove unknown extensions: Safari > Preferences > Extensions

3. Reset Homepage. https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/set-your-homepage-ibrw1020/mac

4. Restart your Mac. Relaunch Safari holding the Shift key down.
