why i cant connect my macbook pro to a screen

i bought a LG 20MK400 but somehow i cant connect my macbook pro to it. it just dont show on the macbook that the screen is available. i dont know what i did wrong any suggestion pls?

Don't know what you did so it is hard to say what you did wrong. Provide system and environment details as well as context. Include error messages if any.
