When I create a reminder in my “iCloud” group, it gives me the option to use a location reminder. However, I keep my work group separate from my iCloud group and would like it to remind me of work tasks when arriving at work. However, the option is grayed out. Is there a way to fix this?
You're welcome. The issue came up several years ago after the ability to sync Tasks with Outlook was changed on the iOS devices. See, Reminders like we have on iOS is not the same as Tasks we have in Outlook. When you sync with Exchange, you get the restrictions for Tasks when you create a Reminder. Glad you understand it and know the restrictions. Now if you want to use a location, you are going to have to use the regular Reminders in iOS.

That is exactly what it is. The Reminders in Exchange do not support location reminders, just date/time.
I'm guessing when you say Work Group, is this something with your work email account? Is this an Exchange account? If so, that could explain why, as to what they support. I believe the Reminders in Exchange work differently. I don't use them in mine, but give me a few minutes and I'll try to turn it on and check. Also remember that if this is an Exchange account that the Exchange Administrator has control of what features you can use.
What happens if you tap the (i) at the end of the Reminder? You should have the option to remind on a day or time, as well as a switch to remind at a location.
The iCloud group gives me that option but the Work group does not. Please see attached screen caps.
