Hacking attempt from overseas

I received a phone call from "Apple" alerting me that they had detected numerous attempts to access my iCloud account from overseas. Does Apple call customers to alert them of this issue? I did not provide any personal information and hung up.

Yes someone is trying to scam you. Apple does not make such calls. Did you provide any potentially damaging information to anyone? If yes, you'll need to follow up, for example, with a credit card company, Apple, your bank, etc.

If you gave yout Apple ID password to the scammer, then
