Sometimes my MacBook will get a random glitch/flicker across one part of the screen, it only happens for like a second so I can never get a picture of it. I don't know if I should be concerned

Take it to an Apple store it might have gotten a hard blow or two. this can happen if you are too careless placing it on the desk when its in the bag.
