(com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930868.)

I bought a brand new G Technology 4TB external drive, and it is not mounting on my Mac Book Pro (15" with retina display, from mid 21015). I had just installed the CATALINA update. I think I tried most of the solutions I found here and there, but it keeps on giving me this error message: (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930868.) Now what should I do? It's urgent, as I absolutely need to back up my date ASAP. Thank you

Drive Preparation - El Capitan or Later

  1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities' folder.
  2. After Disk Utility loads select the external drive (out-dented [topmost] entry with type and size info) from the side list.
  3. Click on the Erase button in the Disk Utility toolbar. A panel should drop down.
  4. In the drop down panel set the partition scheme to GUID. Set the Format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.)
  5. Click on the Apply button and click on the Done button when it is activated.
  6. Quit Disk Utility when formatting is completed.
