Difficulty entering multiple keywords after update

I like to add a lot of metadata to my photos, and up until now I have had no problem doing so. In Photos I would just bring up the info box and type away. Since updating to 10.15.3 I am now unable to add multiple keywords so easily. As soon as I press enter on one keyword, rather than being able to type the second one immediately, I have to click on the info box again as the main photo app has become the thing in the foreground as it were. This gets rather annoying when you are adding upwards of 20 keywords per photo. Anyone else having this problem/any way to stop this happening?

It is a known bug in macOS 10.15.3. After we enter a keyword, the focus is lost and we have to bring the focus back to the Info panel. I am clicking into a different part of the Info instead of typing Return. This will enter the keyword, but the Info keeps the focus.

For the time being I recommend the Keyword Manager. While the Keyword Manager is open, you can assign all keywords simply by typing the one-letter keyword shortcut. Ou have just to add all frequently used keywords to the Quickgroup and do not need to keep the Info open.

Hi thewtro,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today adding keywords in Photos.

You can read more about this feature here: Find photos by keyword in Photos on Mac under "Add or remove keywords in the Info window" and "Add or remove keywords in the Keyword Manager". You may find the Keyword Manager feature helpful.

If you'd like to leave feedback on this recent change, please go to: Product Feedback and select "Photos" under "macOS Apps".

Have a fantastic day!
