I suspect when you say "Advanced" you are referring to >System Preferences>Bluetooth.

Your other option is from the BT icon in the upper right menu bar, hold the Shift Option keys and click it open>Debug>

Here you have several options. Start at the top and continue to work through the list, test along the way until your problem is resolved.
