Fake missed FaceTime call

My recent calls showed a missed FaceTime call that my contact never made. I changed my Apple password, is there anything else I need to do and how did that happen? Please advise

Sorry...I misunderstood your post...you said... "call that my contact never made" I thought "contacts" so I assumed an unknown number.

KiltedTim read it right...and after I saw that I thought maybe your contact is not being truthful to you but did not want to say that.

Maybe your contact did it by accident also...you don't have to worry about it...you are not being hacked...yes it would be nice to know why...you may find out.

Have a nice day...😄

fyip...for your info please

Here is a continuation of the same problem. I changed my password, as did my contact (who happens to be my emergency contact) and still, it kept popping up as a recent FaceTime call! I turned FaceTime off and that is the only way to end the problem. I deleted FaceTime and reinstalled it, same problem! I have turned off FaceTime again and have to use WhatsApp for video chats. Any ideas about what’s happening? Thank you

For the past year I have had FaceTime calls coming through on my phone, usually in the middle of the night and sometimes during the day. The call will call over and over again sometimes more than 20 times. It is a list of 50 random numbers and emails. When answered in the past there are multiple ppl on the screen sounds like young kids, some are other ppl asking for this to stop calling. I have looked this up before and it didn’t look like it has been happening to anyone else. But now other ppl that are saved in my contacts are connected to it. I have reached out and they said they are getting the called too and had to turn off there FaceTime. This is now happening to me again! I don’t know what this is all about. Or what to do about it?
