Nord VPN removal

The pop ups for VPN access block internet connection and they don't recognize my NordVPN password, I am asked for Keychain password but I never had one. I tried uninstalling NordVPN but if I update to Catalina, these pop ups still appear? Is there a way to completely wipe out my hard drive and install Mac OS from the very beginning? I am using a MacBook Pro 2014.
