Does Apple TV work abroad?

The set-top box itself will work in many countries.

For content however …

- You may be able to access the iTunes Store for movies from across the border. Apple doesn’t consider this acceptable for long term, and asks that you change region for your account.

- You should be able to access Netflix in most countries or regions, but with slightly different region-based content.

- You should be able to access Amazon Prime Video in most countries or regions, but with slightly different region-based content.

- Most national TV stations will not stream to IP addresses outside the country.

What country??? For example if you are in the US and have it hooked up it will work just fine in the UK however it will display the programming available in the UK. Not every country on the planet supports streaming though so you need to be much more specific.
