I have dropped my phone a few times in the pass, but I haven't at all today. The line just came out of no where and now covers about a 4th of my screen. I tried turning my phone on and off again but that didn't work. The screen on my phone is not cracked at all. The screen protector is a little beat up but that's it. Is this something I can fix by myself or do I need to take it in?

It's very unlikely you can fix this yourself. Schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for service options. Apple will most likely offer you a screen replacement at a cost (in the US) of $279 if you don't have AppleCare+ or $29 if you do have AppleCare+.
