No and there are two types of texts on an iPhone, SMS and iMessage. If you don't want access to SMS contact your cell service provider and tell them you want to lock out SMS access on your iPhone. Turn off iMessage and not having SMS will also block activating iMessage. Then you only have to be concerned with the many messaging apps.
