Duplicate videos impossible to detect?

All,

I use my GoPro a lot during holidays and import my GoPro movies on my iPhone while I am still on holiday.

When I get back home I import my movies from the GoPro SD card to my Mac.

If I then - typically after some months - import all my iPhone movies, the same movies get imported twice. The file name differs and the size is slightly different (17.531.623 bytes vs 17.534.252 bytes) but it is exactly the same movie. I tried Gemini 2 and Photos Duplicate Cleaner but they both did not identify these movies as duplicate.

Any suggestions?

The paid version of PowerPhotos will detect duplicate movies even with slight file name differences.

I use both of these criteria in PowerPhotos to fine the duplicates:

The videos I found had the .mov extension.

I created a new library with 2 duplicate videos but it did not recognize them as such. Maybe it only detects duplicate photos? Interesting program though! Any idea since when this is around? The problem with these customization programs is that they eventually stop being developped or aren't working anymore after the main program (photos) gets updated.

I had tried all combinations already but specifically tried again with your settings but no luck.
