Editors refuses to select proper track to view piano roll on

I have this track here selected, and as you can see none of the piano roll notes will show up when I access Editors

That's odd, maybe I should close out of the Editors and try again.

Now upon re-accessing the Editors, the piano roll forces me to go back to a different MIDI selection on a completely different track that isn't even selected.

Logic won't let me see or select anything else but this track in the piano roll in my project now, and I really don't know why. I've exited the program, and etc. to try and make it stop, but I have no idea what I pressed to make it do this.

Enable Link in the Piano Roll Editor. The little "chain" button on the menu bar.

The Link mode determines what you see in a window related to others. That's an important concept: Most of Logic windows are only views on different parts of the project. They are not the project!

All that is in the Logic manual:

All Logic manuals are available free on the Apple Book Store.
