Proximity sensor

The proximity sensor on my iPhone 7plus is not working. There is nothing blocking the sensor, I’ve restarted the phone and tried testing using voice memos. Latest update as well. Front camera works but nfc is sluggish to detect readers but works. Any other suggestions?

Proximity sensor issues I have iPhone 14 pro max and while making an inbound wats app call my proximity sensor does not work, screen does not go black when iPhone near my cheek but in inbound calls the sensor works like it should and in normal inbound and outbound phone it works fine, the only issue is with outbound watsapp call. I have rest the settings and force restarted iPhone removed and reinstalled app multiple times updated to iOS 16.0.3 but it’s still the same

Proximity Sensor not working Since ios 15.2.1 update I want to ask dear Members , if any one one of you is facing proximity Sensor , which is near the Front Camera a tiny dot on iphone 6s , suddenly stopped working , i believe after ios 15.2.1 update. is any one facing the issue? i have tried hard reset and tried everthing in setting , but could not solve these. But before update I believe it was all working fine. Can someone help me out Apple Support had said to approach service Centre , i dont think its sensor problem

If you are absolutely there is no shadow from a case or screen protector on the sensor you probably have a hardware problem.

Ok thanks Lawrence, I’ll try it with a phone call. Some online tips to test it suggested using voice memos as opposed to having to make a call.

You can’t test it with voice memos, only with phone calls.
