Iphone xs stuck on boot loop after update and screen replacement

Hey guys,

I bought a used iphone xs that had a screen being replaced by a third party store. I didn’t know that and it was working perfectly fine then recently I started getting some accidental and miss touches, so because I had apple care plus on it, I took it to apple. They told me they will replace the screen and that they will send it to depot. So I agreed and had to stay without a phone for 7 days, idk how I was able to manage that, but I did. When I picked the phone up from the apple store they told me they denied service since the phone had third party parts and it was out of power, so I just went home and plugged it to the charger. The phone kept on restarting and showing apple logo, not booting ip to main screen. So I went back to the apple store they tried hard resetting, restoring through itunes, but nothing worked. It was working before I had apple technicians open it, idk if this issue is from apple technicians who damaged one of the cords in the screen or didn’t plug in the battery properly but its not an option since its apple and their technicians go through a lot of training. I took it to a couple repair shops and they couldn’t get it to boot. I am wondering what I can do? Should I change the screen again or does anyone have any suggestion on what to do next?

iPhone XS, iOS 13

Try Updating your iPhone — Use a Mac or PC:

Try updating your iPad using iTunes on your Mac (or on a PC, even). This would allow for a confirmed update. It may be that an install got misconfigured somehow. How to do so...,

I tried 3 different macs for restoring/updating and same problem. I think its up to apple to release a fix to this bug cuz even original screens are suffering from the same thing

Use of Apple Vs. a Random Retailer:

Just know that you are not contacting Apple. This is a user-to-user forum.

Replacement would be up to Apple. Just take it up with Apple once more, and see where it goes from there. If Apple is not up for it, I, myself, would trust a retailer.

In my field, taking this to a retailer is my recommendation. There, it’s always worked on, until it’s fixed. I can’t recommend companies on here, but for a retailer, let’s just say it wouldn’t necessarily need to be an electronics-only place.

So, if you have a retailer around, give them a call. See what they have to say about their services — I’m sure there’s one around.

I’m glad you troubleshot with some computers. At least that’s confirmed.

Use of a Retailer for Service:

First off, by Terms & Conditions, It makes pure sense for Apple to deny service, being that it was worked on by a third-party.

So, as for me, I would most certainly use Apple, and always have. But, if it came to having no choice, as an alternative, I would trust a retailer for this work. Using an LLC or some small company would most likely have their own Terms & Conditions. — nothing I would trust.

I know, but when I bought it the seller didn’t tell me about the replaced screen. Since its not working, I wont be able to return it. Still looking for a good repair shop to check the cords if they were plugged in properly or troubleshoot it. I heard that it might be due to the proximity sensor and I need to disconnect it before booting up and then plug it back when it boots to the main screen.
