Lock screen sound

I had a problem when I turned on Siri the volume of the screen lock depends on the volume that I set with the buttons, in the settings the buttons are disabled. I completely turned off Siri and “Hi Siri” and hold the button and after that my lock sound became normal.

But I often use Siri, what should I do?

Hello Zendied,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that the Lock Sound volume for your iPhone can't be changed when you turn on Siri. I can understand how important it is to be able to use both of these features at the same time. I would be happy to help.

With Siri enabled, I would like to have you go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics. Ensure Change with Buttons shows enabled, then scroll down towards the bottom of the screen and make sure that Lock Sound is turned on. The volume level that this sounds plays at is the same as the slider level under the Ringer and Alerts section. If you're unable to increase the volume level with the Volume up/down button, try moving the slider to a higher volume level on this screen, then test the Lock Sound volume again without turning off Siri:

If you're still encountering this behavior, could you tell us more about what's happening? Here's some questions that would be helpful to answer:

  1. Are you wanting to turn off Change with Buttons or is that option grayed out under Settings > Sounds & Haptics?
  2. What's happening when you do press the Volume up/down button with Siri enabled?
  3. What model of iPhone is this happening on? What iOS version?

Cheers!
