Why are the photos distorted using .5x wide lens?
Because it's a wide angle lens, which creates such effects normally. Changing the angle of lens (altering the angle of the phone) relative to the scene you want to take a photo of, will change the perspective the wide angle lens captures.
Thank you. I forgot that and I was used too taking landscapes using my wide angle lens with my Fuji X-T20 and never for people! That’s why I was surprised how big and elongated the legs were when I used the .5x with my iP11Pro Max. 🤣 My bad. God bless!
