AirPods 2 case look like AirPods 1 case. Bought it totally new, is it possible?

airpods 2 case look like airpods 1 case , a buy it totally new , is it possible ? indicator is inside but serial number says that my airpods are 2 generation

There is no difference between the 1st Generation case and the 2nd Generation case so how are you seeing a difference? The only difference you should be able to see is if it is a wireless charging case the light is on the outside of the case.
