Compatible printers

Grateful if a list of compatible 64-bit printers are available for Catalina OS X10.15.2. I need a printer urgently as my present one is outdated since I upgraded to the new OS.

Thanks

Definitely constrain your search to Apple AirPrint-enabled devices as the others already stated. There are thousands of them.

However, if you are motivated to keep your existing printer in service, possibly with economically unjustifiable investments of time and money, please write back with that printer's exact model designation. There may be hope for it. Your existing printer may already be AirPrint-enabled.

64-bit app compliance is completely unrelated to printing. Printers themselves aren't any number of bits.

You might try this open source driver for printers: Gutenprint. It's free and might work for you current printer. Also as already been suggested check for more current drivers for you model at the manufacture's driver website. Just to a Google search for "XXXX yyyy drivers" with XXXX being the manufacturer and the yyyy being the model number.

Wow! Tall order. So many printers to choose from.

HP (Samsung), Brother, Epson, Lexmark, Canon, Oki all have printers that are Catalina ready.

Inkjet, mono laser, color laser. Printer only. All-in-ones.

Have you checked your printer manufacturers website for Catalina compatible updates for your current printer?

Were you happy with your current printer? Maybe you should look at their newest offerings.

Pick a price range and do a search at Amazon. I'll bet you come up with two fistfuls of Catalina compatible printers.

Printer manufacturers do indeed eventually stop providing upgraded drivers for their printers but Old Toad's link is a good one. Gutenprint extended the life of one of my printers for several years until it finally died. If you do need a new printer the advice of looking for a AirPrint compatible printer is also very good. They make WiFi printing so convenient and easy to do.
