edit droplets after creation

Ok so I have two questions. The first is is there a way to edit droplets once they have been saved? I can't seem to find a way to do it.

My second question is, and I am assuming this is true, but if I edit a preset in compressor that was being used by a droplet the droplet will use the new settings correct?

So, for example, suppose setting A has a set data rate of 500kbs, and i save a droplet that applies setting A to a file. I then go on to change setting A to have a data rate of 300kbs and save it. I then run the droplet again. The file will now be converted to 300kbs correct?

Once you save an existing preset as a Droplet it becomes a stand alone application. Point is - editing the source preset will not change the Droplet's settings.

Try this:

Right + Click on your Droplet. Select "Show Package Contents" from the menu. Open the "Settings" folder. Drag the .setting file into Compressor's Settings window. Edit this setting and save as a new Droplet.

I don't think there is any other way to handle it. Of course you can dupe the existing preset as well. However if for some reason it is no longer available, you still have access to it as noted above.
