Can I open Numbers to a blank document like Excel by putting something in Terminal? I'm used to Excel but with Office 365 being the only option I feel like I'm paying a ransom to Microsoft.

I appreciate you replying, Ian. I've already tried that. But Numbers 6.2 either when opened initially or when already opened and I click on it in the dock it still brings up Finder. I know it is only one more move to presed the "New document" button in the lower left hand side, but I was wanting numbers to respond like Excel can be made to respond, upon opening you just get a blank document. TextEdit was change back a few years ago and I found a command online that I pasted and copied into Terminal that restored the program back to its default opening style. I just thought there was a way to do the same with Numbers.
