Casting from Android tablet to a Macbook screen

I would need to cast the screen of an Android tablet to my Macbook screen, so that the tablet's screen appears in a window on the Mac.

This is immediate on a Windows 10 PC, which allows the tablet to "project" wirelessly on the screen of the PC, either in a full screen mode or in a window, like the PC were a physical "projector".

I could not find a way to do this on Mac: the Android tablet can cast, and it does excellently on a PC, but the Mac does not seem to have a built in receiving function.

I have tried several third party softwares, like Reflector, but they do not seem to work with MacOS 10.15 (Catalina). Actually AirDroid seems to work, but exhibits serious security issues.

Any ideas / suggestions / alternatives?

Thanks!

Well, in case somebody has the same issue, I've found an easy solution.

The software "Reflector 3" by Squirrels does exactly what I need, allowing to cast the tablet screen to the mac screen.

The Mac becomes a Google Cast device.

See https://www.airsquirrels.com/reflector/features/mac-and-windows

It took some time to get it to work because it interfered with my VPN client. I had to uninstall the VPN client, they are not compatible, unfortunately. But apart from that, it works fine and does not cost a fortune.
