iPhone 7 in boot loop

Hello everyone,

Two days ago, my iPhone 7 was upgraded to iOS 13.3.1, however at the end of the update, the phone got stuck into a boot loop, i.e.: black apple logo on white background continuously.

Unfortunately, there is some personal data that hadn't been backed up before the upgrade, so we cannot recover the phone by deleting all the data.

Is there any way to recover the data itself before resetting the phone please? I've tried everything I could find, including manual reboot, updating via iTunes in recovery mode, etc., with no avail.

Thanks for your help.

Please go through this article --> Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Which clearly states, take a backup before update. Now that you have tried everything as stated by you and you do not have any backup, the only question that remain unanswered is did you enable iCloud? I am not talking about iCloud backup here. If you had enabled then chances are that many of your personal data are still available to you and will be made available when you erase and set it up as new again. Enable iCloud again.

iCloud backup doesn’t include information already stored in iCloud, like Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks, Mail, Notes, Voice Memosshared photosiCloud Photos*, Health data, call history, and files you store in iCloud Drive.

*-If you had turned on iCloud Photos, your content is automatically stored in iCloud.

Many thanks for your reply.

I recognise that not having taken a backup before the update was a mistake, and my post was in no way trying to justify the fact that no backup had been taken, or should be taken in these circumstances. Rather, it's a post from a point of crisis!

I did check the contents of iCloud and, though some photos are there, not everything has been uploaded.

Are you aware of specialist centres perhaps that can physically retrieve the data?

Thank you.
