why are there lines on my computer screen?

I recently cracked the bottom of my screen of a MacBook Air. I did not think much of it because it was so little. About 2 weeks later, i found a couple lines on my computer and I, still, did not think much of it because it wasn't covering my screen and if I pressed the screen, it went away. This morning I went to class and opened my computer to find my computer covered with lines on the left side of my screen and the bottom of my screen. I've cleaned my computer screen, I've tried the command, option, P,R trick and I've tried turning it off and turning it back on. Should I bring it in to the Apple Store? Thank you and have a good day

You broke it, that's why.

There are no tricks that are going to make this better. It's only going to get worse. At the very least, the display needs to be replaced.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store or take it to your local authorized service provider.
