Battery icon disappear

One day, i was using my macbook air mid 2011, it said that battery is low, so i charged and continued to finish my work, when i'm done, i took off my charger and then my macbook suddenly shut down, i was confusing and charged one more time, it finally turn on but the battery icon was missing and i go to system preferences>energy saver>show battery status in menu bar, but one thing happened, when i checked, it suddenly unchecked itself quickly, so i cant see if my battery is charging or not, and when i took off again, my macbook is still shutdown,please help !!!!!

Keep it charging for a while.

Reset  SMC:   How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support   Choose the appropriate method.


Click the  in the menubar.

Hold the option key down and click "System Information..."

Hardware > Power > Battery Information

Check the condone of the battery.
