I received an email saying that the password for my Apple ID has been reset. I didn’t make that change

I received an email from Apple support that The password for my Apple ID has been successfully reset. I didn’t make that change! What should I do?

You signed in here using your Apple ID, right? If yes, it has not been reset unless you took some action to do so, and I think you are being subjected to a scam.


Did you provide any potentially damaging information to anyone? If yes, you'll need to follow up, for example, with a credit card company, Apple, your bank, etc.
