Create a voice command to speak text

Are you starting to develop my own custom command using voice control, but have yet been able to create one that speaks to hide like to text

I have to use a keystroke shortcut that I've created

I'm sure she's very simple but I've spent quite a while trying to do this. Any help appreciated

When you open the Voice Control panel, click on the circled "?" in the lower right corner. This will open Help. In the help text you will find instructions on how to add commands of your own including the use of an Automator app that you can create to speak selected text. You can also use AppleScript or a Terminal command. VC already has a built-in command, Make this speakable. I'm not sure what it does. I have tried out VC but have not examined it thoroughly nor tried creating new commands.

Thanks yes I have looked at the voice commands. My goal is to be able to highlight some text with the mouse, say "speak text" and my Mac read the text back to me (text to voice)

I have a keyboard shortcut created to do this - Control +A, I tried to enter that into commands but he did not seem to work

Not sure I'm using the right terminology, but I'm sure many other people would like to be able to do this to

Cheers
