Request iPhone be unlocked by my carrier

I got a new iPhone 4 but my sim isn't supported. The Sim card I installed in this iPhone is from a Carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. How do I resolve this problem and start using my phone.

You must contact the carrier the phone is locked to and ask them to unlock it. If you don’t know which carrier that is use the Contact Support link at the top of this page and an Apple specialist will be able to tell you based on the serial number of the phone.
