Staingate etc

I bought a 2015 13" pro the other day from someone. It has staingate mainly on the enclosure around the screen, not too bad, and some looking pop

marks on the screen that are parallel across 3 lines, looks like the keyboard did it. The guy didn't tell me this stuff when I got it from him. Also, a small bit of delimitation where the camera is.

Since it is 5 years old does experience show whether

the stagnate etc get worse. I would really love to know.

PS: I have tried to find the answers online myself. Apple won't help.

Thank you!

It can get worse, but usually it will be when you clean the display. Just using a damp microfiber cloth with water to clean the display will minimize the chances of the anti-reflective coating coming off during cleaning.

Most of the laptops I repair just have the worst of the coating issue along the outside edges with some with minor lines ("scratches") across the center. Since I usually only see these laptops just one time I have no idea how people were cleaning or taking care of them to result in displays with massive amounts of missing anti-reflective coating in the center of the display. It's possible the coating on some displays comes off more easily than others.

Thank you for your response. Very helpful.

I still hope someone who has had the this problem, can let me know if with out cleaning the screen-did it still get worse.

It doesn't bother me at all when it is on. That's the good news.

But, if it gets worse it will. Also, it takes away the resale value.

Thanks everyone that has responded. I appreciate your time!
