I just received a iPad Pro and a life proof case. The iPad Pro is a 12.9 but the Nuud lifeproof Case is way too big for the iPad. I thought this was the largest iPad on the market so how could the lifeproof case be larger???

That LifeProof Nuud case is designed for the earlier generation of iPad Pro 12.9” - that has wider screen bezels, a TouchID Home button and a Lightning connector.
Your new iPad Pro 12.9” is much smaller - having minimal screen bezels, a USB-C connector and no TouchID Home button (instead your iPad Pro uses FaceID).
In short, that is the wrong case for your iPad.
