Youtube upload codec-ProRes or H.246

Any point in using ProRes when uploading to Youtube instead of H.246 codec? Is the YouTube compression working in the same way? I have tried to compare multiple versions with different codecs, but the output seems to be the same..

No point in using ProRes, unless you want your upload times to be looong, since the files are so big.

Youtube will convert whatever you upload to their own versions, and anyone will be hard pressed to see the difference. Don't bother.
