DST time change and setting an alarm for 2:30am

Hi,

How does the iPhone handle the following situation with the current iOS 13.3.1 ?

1) I set an alarm for 2:30 am on the morning we go ahead 1 hour

2) At 2am, the time on the iPhone becomes 3:00am

3) What happens to the alarm that was set for 2:30?

Is the alarm simply missed, or does it go off now at 3:30? How can I assure the alarm goes off at 2:30am? My guess, is that if you set an alarm during this 2-3am window, you're out of luck and it won't work.

Thanks

That is an interesting question, since any time between 2:00-3:00am do not really exist. At 2;00 am is really becomes 3:00am, so 2:30 is non-existent on that day. So, you don't need an alarm at 2:30, since there is no 2:30. If you have to be somewhere at 3:00 and wanted to set an alarm for 2:30 to get there, you would need to set it at 1:30, since at 2, it becomes 3.
