Question

samsung printer m2070 not scanning

Since upgrading to Catalina, the scanning function on the Samsung M2070 has gone crazy:

(a) even though I select a folder to save to, it sends the scanned document to the Pictures folder

(b)When I try to open the scanned PDF document, I get an "it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged" error.

Printer has the following driver: 1.01.04

Any ideas?

MacBook, macOS 10.15

Both Samsung XPress M2070FW and M2070W models are supported by Apple's AirPrint when networked. This vendor independence may be your alternative when HP stops providing driver updates for this Samsung product.
