Has anyone used the Lumin cpap cleaner to sanitize their iPhone?

With all the recent emphasis on sanitizing everything we touch including our cellphones, I was wondering how everyone sanitizes their cellphones. I have a Lumin medical cleaner for my cpap. They say I can use it on my toothbrush, etc., because it only uses UV-C light.

"Because UV-C disinfection involves light waves, it operates in 'line of sight' fashion, only irradiating surfaces within its sightlines. "

Any thoughts?

It’s well known that UV light in wavelengths of 200-400 nanometers is highly effective at killing bacteria and virus. The UV-C light disrupts both RNA and DNA which renders them unable to perform normal biological functions (which is basically the very definition of death). Hospital operating rooms have been using UV sterilization techniques for some things (things that cannot be autoclaved) for decades. Municipal water treatment plants also use it to kill bacteria in the water supply.

The key is to have UV-C at sufficient intensity and for sufficient time to be effective. In other words a quick flash of UV-C won’t be effective. So these home sterilizes are usually closed systems that you leave things exposed for a longer period of time.

Just beware to not look at the UV-C lamps themselves as intense UV-C light is damaging to your own cells too, particularly your eyes.
