There is no option to download bootcamp support software in the bootcamp assistant.
The only option is to remove my bootcamp partition.
If I stick a correctly formatted usb in the computer I was asked to remove any external device or I cannot proceed.
I'm using a 2019 touchbar macbook pro.

Did you you read the following part in Download and install Windows support software on your Mac - Apple Support...
From the menu bar at the top of your screen, choose Action > Download Windows Support Software, then choose your USB flash drive as the save destination. When the download completes, quit Boot Camp Assistant.
