I have an iPhone 6 and an apple hdmi adapter. I can get audio but no video on the tv
Some services block mirroring like that. If so, then the home screen and some apps can be mirrored, but playing content in some other apps will fail.

I can’t see the phone screen on my tv at anytime. When I connect the hdmi cable to the phone the tv screen goes black, no picture. If I try to play an Amazon movie I can hear the audio on the tv but no picture.
