iMac Wireless Mouse Click sound

Hi! I have wireless Mouse and Keyboard for my iMac 2019 purchased a few days ago. I find the click sound of Mouse to be annoying. Is there any way that it can be silenced? Thanks!

You're welcome. Just had another thought... You could search through different brands of mice for one with a more agreeable sound and then pair that to the Mac.

And then another thought... If you succeeded in getting a silent mouse, then all those web sites would have to come up with a new phrase for where they say "click here" !

No, the sound you are hearing is a mechanical noise made by a small "microswitch" when the switch action is completed. Actually, you could try to find a silent microswitch and then disassemble the mouse, install the new switch and reassemble the mouse. I expect that would be a very difficult exercise.

EDIT: Having once had the actual company named Microswitch as a customer I know that the noise is intentional as confirmation of the switch operation.
