recently my SIM card stopped reading my in my phone. I took it out and saw a gold thing sticking out of uniform with the rest when looking inside. Does anyone know what this could be or how else to fix it? I was wanting to take it to apple but I do not have apple care

From your description, I have no clue what you're seeing. Either take the phone to your closest Apple Store or visit your cellular provider since this is an issue with your Sim card.
I see the photo, but I can't tell you what I'm looking at. Take it to Apple and show it to them. We are users on this user to user only forum. We're not Apple engineers.
I never said you were an apple engineer. I just didn’t know if other people had this problem and wondered if anyone else had solutions.
Again, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I know the best option is to go to apple but I currently can’t right now.
I haven't seen anyone else with this issue. Whether someone has had this or hasn't had this won't really help you. Only Apple can determine what is wrong and how to take care of it.
