Hey y’all! I have a DVD superdrive from mid-2012 that i’m using right now, but I was wondering if the graphics would be better on the new superdrive you can purchase on the Apple products page. The old one from 2012 i’m using currently I feel like is kind of bad quality now (since it’s 8 years old). Would buying the new superdrive alleviate this problem (have better graphics/resolution)?

The USB SuperDrive Apple has listed on their website technically has not been updated since 2007. DVDs are not a high resolution medium. A newer SuperDrive would not make your existing DVDs look any better.

the Superdrive has nothing to do with it, it is most likely the (lack of) quality of the content of the DVDs.
