Can my iphone xr be repaired?

cracked back of my iphone xr. Can this be repaired? I asked for value on apple.com and was told the would recycle for me. So it’s worthless with a cracked back?

Apple has a standard price for most out of warranty replacements. It would apply for anything from non-functioning electronics to a damaged back case. Even a completely trashed device would be that price. For an iPhone XR that price is $399 plus tax in the United States when serviced directly by Apple. The price may vary if done by an Apple Authorized Service Provider, although it tends to be the same price.

A service replacement requires an exchange of the damaged device. It comes in a white box without any graphics. There are no accessories in the box.

Amazingly, Your longer explanation at 12:49 p.m. now makes sense. I previously saw the repair chart costs. My question was: Can my phone be repaired? I will probably get a replacement phone, not MY repaired phone.
I was questioning because if i purchase a new phone from Apple my XR with broken back would be recycled. It has no value.
Thank you

Thanks.

Well - Apple basically reduces most major repairs into "replace the whole device". That's just kind of the model that they've taken other than relatively simple repairs such as touchscreen assembly or battery replacement. They're frankly not that different than other manufacturers of electronic devices these days.

They won't necessarily recycle the entire device that they receive in exchange for a working device. Part of the value proposition for Apple is that they often receive working parts in the exchanged devices they receive. If the touchscreen assembly is in good shape, they might reuse it. If the logic board is intact, they might pull it out and reuse that. Their warranty terms state that repairs may involve the use of used parts or a replacement made of new and/or used parts. The exchanges are one way they receive these parts. This is made pretty clear in Apple's 1 year warranty:

WHAT WILL APPLE DO IN THE EVENT THE WARRANTY IS BREACHED?
If during the Warranty Period you submit a claim to Apple or an AASP in accordance with this warranty, Apple will, at its option:
(i) repair the Apple Product using new or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability,
(ii) replace the Apple Product with the same model (or with your consent a product that has similar functionality) formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or

I should ask....are there any models that cracked glass could be repaired? Expensive to replace phone because is dropped once and back cracked. This has never happened to me before.

That requires a complete case replacement. Apple simply doesn't do that. Their replacement cost is flat rate for a complete service replacement. That price applies to pretty much any accidental damage to the case or if there's a hardware issue and it's out of warranty.
