I was given a bunch of .np files, that I believe are supposed to be videos that explain how to use something that I also bought (with the .np files). How do I open them on my iMac? I found something called NetPublish from file-extension.org. Is this legit and safe to install on my iMac?
Portfolio NetPublish is a sub-module of Extensis Portfolio application. It is a paid application, and apparently, you cannot download a trial without filling out a trial request form, and waiting for Extensis to contact you. I see no means to just independently download the application, or investigate the application's system requirements.

if there is no Mac OS app available to open the file then you will probably need to install MS Windows on the Mac and install the app that uses the file.
