Screen mirror and block incoming info

I’m a teacher and I want to screen mirror from iPhone XR to a tv while blocking all incoming messages, alerts, emails etc. I envision it as new school overhead. I’m showing images from anatomical text books printed long before digital content was a thing.

Is this possible? If so how?

thank you

iPhone XR, iOS 13

You will want to use screen mirroring. The TV must support AirPlay2, have an Apple TV connected, or you must use a lightning to HDMI adapter.

If you want to block all alerts, on the iPhone, head to Settings > Do Not Disturb, and make sure you set "Silence" to Always, "Allow Calls From" to no one, and make sure repeated calls is off.

When you are ready to mirror, swipe down from the top left corner of the screen to open Control Center. Tap the moon icon to enable do not disturb, then begin screen mirroring. You should not have any interruptions.
