new IPad - APPLE TV

Good afternoon, I purchased a new Ipad last week and I am supposed to get Apple TV for free for one year. The rep in the store didn't tell me and I downloaded it but it shows free for 7 days only so I cancelled the subscription. Can you check on this for me please
