Applecare ESTIMATED expiry date?
I purchased a two year term so why does it say the expiry date is “estimated”? No FAQ or support mentions this that I can find. Thx

The date is “estimated” as your device reports the date of initial activation of the device plus two calendar years. Your actual Applecare cover extends for two years from the date of purchase.
As such, unless you “activate” your new device on the day of purchase, there can be a small difference between the actual and estimated dates.
The URL provided by QuickPost should help you to establish the actual date of your cover - which will very likely align with your purchase receipt. It is obviously always advisable to keep original purchase receipts, for significant purchases, at least for the duration of any warranty or period of insured cover.
I hope this clarification is helpful to you.

Exactly what I was going to say. We buy them for work purposes but don't activate until the employee actually gets his/her phone. So it could be a week or so between activation and purchase. Therefore, it is an estimate.
